CAC's Grant Program awards funding to high quality artistic projects directly benefiting the citizens of Cambridge. Support for this program comes from the City of Cambridge and receives an annual allocation from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

The application deadline for 2009 projects is October 15, 2008.

Congratulations to the 2008 Grant Recipients!

This year's grant recipients were awarded a total of $55,000 from the Cambridge Arts Council. The wide range of projects all showed a high level of creativity, innovation, outstanding artistic quality as well as demonstrated community benefit.

A volunteer panel of 15 Cambridge residents and arts professionals with expertise in the arts is chosen each year to review applications, ensuring that the voice of the community is integrated into the decision-making process. Applications are selected among three discipline areas: Music & Literature, Theater & Dance, and Visual Arts & Film/Video.
