Volunteers Needed!

We need YOUR HELP to make this one-of-a-kind arts and culture event a success. The Cambridge Arts Council is now seeking volunteers for this year's Cambridge River Festival. So get out your Little Black Book, your calendar, your Palm Pilot or Blackberry and make a date to volunteer at the Cambridge River Festival! Entertaining 100,000 festivalgoers would not be possible without the support of valuable volunteers like you! No experience is necessary for many jobs, and all are welcome!

Volunteers receive:

  • A limited edition 2006 Cambridge River Festival t-shirt
  • A free meal coupon to redeemable at any Festival food vendor
  • An invitation to an after-Festival thank-you party that evening
  • That warm fuzzy feeling knowing YOU made a difference

Volunteers are needed between the hours of 7am and 8pm on Saturday June 17 for a variety of essential tasks including: setting up the venue, staffing information booths and aiding festival goers, and at the end of the day, helping us put it all away again until 2007.

Volunteer shifts are about 3 and a half hours long, so you will have plenty of time to enjoy the Festival either before or after your shift. We have morning shifts beginning at 7:00 AM, Late Riser shifts from 11:30-3pm, post-lunch slots from 3pm-6:30pm and the ever popular Festival Wrap Up shift at 6pm.

(And if you can't help out on Festival Day, but still want to be a part of this community event, volunteer to distribute posters and flyers in the weeks leading up to the Festival!) Contact the Volunteer Coordinator at CRFvolunteers@gmail.com
